Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (March 28 1986). Pop singer. She is known worldwide as Lady Gaga. She was born in Manhattan New York United States. Her mother Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of mobile company Verizon. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. was director of the company that runs an internet networking network. She was born in an luxurious Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan in an elitist Catholic family. She was enrolled by her parents into the Convent of the Sacred Heart which was a prestigious, religious and elite school. From the time she was a child, she has been an avid music fan. She was able to play the piano at a very early age and wrote her first solo song at the age of thirteen. She took part in open mic nights. The singers she admired included queens Michael Jackson Madonna and David Bowie. When she finished high school she enrolled in the Tisch School of Art at New York University to study music. Although she was not able to complete her studies and she resigned from and began her own musical career.
